Says it fits my 2002 avalanche but not even close. Way too long and the plug area is different and does not come with the wiring it would need to plug pump to sending unit. Order with caution

Worked perfect on 2000 Silverado 2500, tricky to get together but worth it.

I bought this kit specifically to get the fuel sock. For some reason, GM does not sell it separately and I can’t find the correct sock locally. I paid $15 for the wrong one already, so I figured why not take the shot here. At least I can return it to Amazon easily. Pump arrived quick, and the sock snapped right in on the OEM canister. Very happy.
As for the pump, it’s extremely cheap feeling and upon opening the box you get hit right in the face with this awful cheap plastic/chemical combination. I’ve never smelled anything like that. Judging from the construction, I’d wager it wouldn’t survive long and there’s NO WAY I would install this pump in a vehicle that requires dropping the tank. Something with a trunk access panel, sure. Otherwise, no. Consider that they’re able to build this pump, box it up with accessories, ship it halfway across the world, and then ship it to your door for $20 and STILL make a profit.. you have to wonder where the corners were cut.
I’ll use the pump somewhere down the road in a transfer pump setup or something, just not in a car.
