Hope –
I don’t know why Dodge just isn’t able to make a decent gas cap for these vans, I have had to replace them on all three of mine because the gas cap light comes on which eventually results in an engine light if you don’t fix/replace the cap. This cap is very good, solid plastic with a good gasket on it. The line really helps to make sure you don’t lose it when filling up as well. Good quality products.

I chose the Replacement Gas Cap because the Check Engine Light (intermittently) comes on & off, on my 2011 Dodge RAM 1500 … with my Code Reader, I checked the codes, and the issue was due to gas vapors escaping my gas cap. I was on my 2nd, OE / Original Equipment gas cap, made by Dodge, due to the same error code. So, I decided to Not purchase another, more expensive OE gas cap, and I decided to give an after-market gas cap a try, instead. I’m glad that I did! 👍🏼💯
The “Gas Cap Replacement for Dodge 2011-2018 Ram 1500, 2007-2013 Grand Cherokee, 2013-2016 Dart, 2011-2019 Journey 52030379AB” is far better than the OE gas cap! This Gas Cap feels better/higher quality in my hands, and it functions better, as well. The belt/connector-strap that attaches the Gas Cap to the truck’s fuel door is a more durable and better material, than the OE. Everything about this Gas Cap is better than the OE, and for a better price-point! I highly recommend this product!!

Buying a new gas cap saved me money, so this is a great value.
