Same problem as incompetent Ebay Sellers. DOES NOT FIT THE CAR ADVERTISED.
Needed to replace the driver door actuator on my 2007 Mazda 3. Amazon “confirmed” fitment from the pull down.
Doesn’t fit. Came close after removing the bracket, but ultimately has one actuator cable running to the handle vs two among other differences. Now I have to waste me time and re-install the old one I pulled for comparison just to keep my door closed. Thanks, Doorman.

I would have appreciated knowing in advance that the part would require transferring a cable from the original door actuator.

I thought this wouldn’t fit 2007 Mazda 3s because it only had 1 cable attached to it. Then I realized that I needed to transfer that missing cable (the one for the lock) and attach it to this new part. I’m not sure why there’s the metal brackets on the new part, maybe it’s there to just protect the component. But all you need to do is to take off the metal brackets (2 screws).
The pins in the harness connection seemed like it wouldn’t fit the original (1 less pin in it) However it fits just fine and the part works. Hopefully this helps all those out there who think this part wouldn’t fit 🙂

Fit and works great. It’s not an easy installation on the 2008 Mazda 3, but that’s mazda’s fault.

I don’t know why the original failed on my daughter’s 2008 Mazda3. Actually all of them failed so I have replaced the front driver and passenger sides with Doorman actuators. These parts are actually better than the original. They have metal mounting bracket when the OEM is mostly plastic. The best part is, they both fit, they both work and fixed the problem. It’s a tricky job to replace these though so make sure you have spare fasteners (they break) door panel removal tools, patience, and a manual or video to guide you.
