Our puppy used the Cigarette Adapter as a chew-toy and rendered it useless. I contacted the rearcamera store and they shipped me a replacement very quickly.
All works OK and very happy with the service. (Keeping this one out of reach of the puppy!)

Despite what others have said, the one I just received only shows the red light when you push the button. It remains on until you depress it again. On inspection I see that the wiring is as others have described when they soldered in the wire to deliver the on/off lighting.

I bought this in hopes it would power my wife’s CPAP machine. Turns out it wouldn’t, but in the process I learned the 5.5 x 2.1mm tip size is the most universal of it’s type, and there are about 40 other adapter tips that fit over this one that fit laptops, games and other 12 volt devices. I bought a kit of tips inexpensively on Amazon. I’m ready for whatever I might run across, and some of the tips fit my solar generator.

I ordered this replacement car charger cord for the back up camera I bought and installed a few months ago. That cigarette plug/cat charger piece stopped working. I contacted the seller, they told me to buy this replacement and they would reimburse me… Well I received this one and it stopped working within 1 week… Anyone who drives an RV knows that your back-up camera is CRITICAL. And when you need to back up, ans suddenly the camera cuts out, and you can’t get it to work, you are screwed. That’s exactly what happened to me
