Went from factory 105 amp to this one, fit perfectly, no issues at all, 80% cheaper than any local auto parts store, been 1 year still running strong!.

My alternator quit working right after the Christmas holiday which left me a bit tight on money. I checked the local parts stores and all wanted 2x as much for a remanufactured unit with less amperage along with a core charge. I found this for a great price and had it delivered promptly.
Has been working great and it installed without any issues.

It’s just a basic alternator but seems to do it’s job great. I had pulsing headlights even with the stereo off, nice and steady now even with some boom. I haven’t done anything to upgrade my wiring yet, but it’s clearly way more powerful. Bolted right on but obviously a longer belt is needed. Plugged directly in, too.
Vehicle is 2000 4x4x4 S10 Blazer

Bolted right on, no trouble at all. Fast shipping, saved $$$ from what I would have paid at parts store and no core charge! Replaced the belt because it needed it and that I upgrade to this 130 amp. Truck was nearly stalling after taking foot off the gas and everything went dim. This was the fix, paired it with a nice red top Optima battery. I’m good to go for years! Happy customer
Whole job start to finish took 15 minutes being OCD about it. Disconnect battery, remove belt, remove two bolts, electrical connector and battery lead nut (on alt). Clean connectors and bolts, dap with Silicone Di-Electric, reconnect electrical connector and battery lead (on alt), put belt back on and hook battery back up….DONE! Doesn’t get any easier. All you need is a ratchet, couple sockets and some di-electric grease. (You may need a pry bar if it’s stubborn getting the old one out) I’m sure there is a YouTube on it if you wish.

I ordered this alt. on a thursday afternoon at 2pm (the week after xmas) and it was on my doorstep in northern Minnesota the next day at 1:30 !!!! the unit fit great and at 30% the cost of one at the blue store (NAPA) and no core charge why wouldn”t you try this !!!! It”s been -30 degrees here for over a week now and this thing makes power !!! no problems what so ever !!! BUY IT !!!!!!

So, I’ve been running after market and reman alternators for years. Never had a problem with them, until yesterday when this two month old alternator died on us while we were on a trip out of town.
To be honest I’m a bit baffled as to why. Had a new battery and everything about the alternator appeared to be working as expected. No whine or bearing noise, etc.
Anyways the pros…
Fit was perfect, shipping easy, worked as expected for 2 months.
Cons… Obviously it died, which left us stranded out of town and away from my tools.
Warranty? Can’t speak to that end, I had to turn it in as a core to get back on the road. Which I think is the crux of the matter. If you buy locally, and it fails you can take it back or at least try to resolve it with them…
Anyways, buy at your own risk.

This alternator works great. Was having an issue.with low charge and lights/dash pulsing. Know that if you replace the standard alternator with this higher amp alternator, you’ll have to replace the belt with the next size up. Mine had the 923 and I went to the 930. You have to put it on the alternator then slide the belt under the idler pulley. The tension is still within spec when measured. Altogether a great price for a new alternator with the higher than o.e.m. amp output. This is especially helpful if you’re running any extras like an inverter. To be clear my engine is the 5.3 v8 Vortec.

1999 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L. When my 105 amp alternator died I decided to upgrade to this 130 amp. Installation was fast and easy. Keep in mind if you also do this upgrade you will need a new serpentine belt for a 130 amp alternator. I used the Gates K060930 belt. TIP: when installing the new alternator if you tap the dowels pins in the mounting saddle (for the 15 mm mounting bolt)s outward slightly, the new alternator will slip into place very easy. The most difficult part was installing the new belt. I routed the new belt over all the pulleys, then using a 15 mm wrench twisted the tensioner to gain slack and slipped the belt over the idler pulley. Charging and voltage output is right on. Quality looks pretty good but time will tell.

I purchased this probably three years ago and it has worked flawlessly.
