Bought this for my 18hp Briggs & Stratton riding lawn mower. Started perfect, mowed the front yard (about 20 minuted), headed to the back and it started acting up…wanting to die, choking back to life; on and off. Got into about 10 minutes of my back yard and it died completely, wouldn’t start. Looked, was getting plenty of fuel, and I thought that there was no way it was the coil…it’s brand new. Pulled the plugs, not getting any spark at all. Both plugs are new. Unfortunately, by the time I got my mower back together, it was past the return window, so I’m having to replace out of pocket. DO NOT BUY THIS POS. I’m getting the OEM, as some have suggested…should have listened.

Installed and cured my one cylinder problem. Appears the same as the cheaper brands. Made in China but has a warranty from a good company. Time will tell.

Works great. When I read the description, it was unclear to me if it was just the coil or if it included the electronic module to trigger the spark. While it looked different than the 15 or so year old unit I replaced, I am happy to confirm that it does. It fit perfectly and installation was a snap. The engine runs better than it has in a long time.
