My expectations were exceeded. This is a tremendous product. I had a friend spend over $2,000 at a shop that specializes in Ceramic Coating, and this Color N Drive kit and process actually looks better. My car is a C-7 Corvette, and with all the various angles on this car, the paint just looks incredible. There needs to be some clarity on the application instructions enclosed with the kit versus the application process one sees online. Bottom line is, one needs to do a very detailed surface prep prior to application. 1.Wash the car 2. Clay bar the entire car 3. if older car, machine polish car 4. wash car with water (3 parts) and rubbing alcohol (1 part) to remove any wax or silicone. 5. I small sections (2X3 ft.) spray Color N Drive Pre-Treat 6. Using application pads in kit use 10 to 12 drops applied to pre-treat spray covering area- circular and straight line smearing of both products. 7. Wait 1 or 2 minutes- very important 8. Take a wet (slightly wrung out) microfiber towel and rub this over the smeared product. 9. With a dry microfiber towel, rub the finish until dry and polished- you won’t believe how good it looks. To me, the secret of the whole process (besides surface prep) is rubbing in the prep and ceramic with the damp microfiber towel. The water seems to react to the chemicals and causes the surface to “pop”. When the final drying with microfiber is complete you will be very pleased. This is a do it yourself end user product. Having read some of the 1 star negative reviews, I wonder what those people were doing to have these problems? Our Corvette’s finish has been subjected to 100+ degree weather with a 125 degree surface temperature and -20 degress below zero while in storage. The finish is still incredible and water and dirt roll off as if we just applied it. Those that are saying this product didn’t work and demand their money back did not use the same product I did, or they are poor competitors that are trying to derail a great product.

This stuff was awesome. I am more than happy with how it looks and feels. But this is not normal wax, so DO NOT TREAT IT LIKE NORMAL WAX.
First, this is is going to amplify clear coat imperfections like scratches and swirls, so doing all the prep work you can to get the best starting point is really going to make the biggest difference. This product isn’t so much for hiding stuff, its for protecting and keeping the surface. Though it is pretty neat what it does to plastic.
Completely change how you apply this stuff. First off, you really need good lighting and LOTS! of clean lint free cloths. Apply the pre-spray and wipe that around with a sponge. Then put some of the coating on the applicator. Only do this in the stated 2’x2′ area. Wipe the applicator back and forth lightly over the surface. Remember, this is a “NANO” coating, not a thick wax coating. It takes very little.
DO NOT wait for this to “set up” like normal wax. As soon as you have worked the wax into the surface, start to lightly remove it. Use a clean cloth each time. Fold the cloth so you only have a 3 or 4″ by 6″ rectangle. You don’t need a big area. Lightly remove the extra coating from the surface. Once it looks clear, flip it over and sure the other (clean) side to lightly feather out the edges.
Lighting is key, especially if you have a dark car. If you have any extra on the surface it will make sort of a streak or patch, that kind of looks like oil or a hand print on the surface. THIS WILL NOT COME OFF without either stripping it or doing a ton of work to polish it back down. So make sure you are very diligent to remove the extra.
I suggest only doing a portion of the car at a time. Once that is done, move it out into the sun and let it cure for a while. Then either give it another coat, or move onto a new section. This stuff feels like glass. I am extremely impressed with it, but you have to take the right steps or you will end up with a pain to correct.

I used on my pearl White (White Orchid) 2017 Accord. My car is 37months old and still showroom condition. No scratches or dents, garaged. I wash it at least once a week. It’s meticulously maintained with MEGUIAR’S G18216 Ultimate Liquid Wax, and Meguiar’s Xpress Spray Wax, so it’s always shiny, so I was debating if I should apply ceramic coating, but did it any way. That being said, I knew it will require a lot of work to prep my car.
I recommend start performing this process early morning and when weather is not very hot (below 80°F).
This is what I did:
– Washed my car (@ the drive thru car wash)
– Soaped & Clayed
– Washed and dried (@ the drive thru car wash)
– Buffed it with dual action polisher with Meguiar’s G17220 Ultimate Compound
– Washed and dried (@ the drive thru car wash), then cancelled my monthly (unlimited) car wash service.
– Sprayed the entire car with 25% isopropyl alcohol/75% distilled water
– Inspected the enitre car for any possible “elements” missed and swirls marks. All is clear.
– Applied the ceramic coating following the instructions/video tutorial. At this point, it is now 83degrees in my garage.
– I did it by sections, starting with the entire front hood is done into four quadrants. Drops of the ceramic formula is done on the applicator for each quadrant. THEN WAITED 2MINUTES. Then wiped the ENTIRE HOOD WITH DUMP MICROFIBER SUPPLIED.
– Don’t let it TOO dry before you do the dump microfiber, OR YOU’LL BE IN TROUBLE.
– AFTER I WAS DONE, I WAITED TWO HOURS, TOOK A REST. At this point of time, it is now 90°F in my garage
– Then inspected everything to make sure that all is perfect. The ceramic is now very dry and I could now see the BIG DIFFERENCE. DEEP GLOSS & SHINY BUT WITHOUT THE SMOOTH FEEL YET. I believe it takes several hours to a day before you get the slick feel/touch.
– After the two hour wait, using the Mothers 156501 Yellow Applicator Pad, I applied the Collinite 845 Insulator Wax over the ceramic coating on the entire car. Why not, I have a new bottle that I have not used yet.
* I started at 8AM and finished at 7PM. Note that drive thru car wash is only minute away from my house that’s why I did the washes at the car wash.
* Right after the Collinite 845 Insulator Wax, the RESULT IS AMAZING! IT IS NOW HAS BOTH THE DEEP GLOSS FINISH & VERY SMOOTH TO TOUCH* Will it last? Who knows. Most common reviews regarding it’s longevity, were NOT VERY GOOD. Upon application, a pre-treatment, which basically water(?) being diluted with, when the ceramic formula is applied. This is probably the reason why that this product’s LONGEVITY suffers. That’s why I’m only giving it 4stars.
* I will now have to hand wash my car to prolong it’s life, and will use the Meguiar’s Xpress Spray Wax every AFTER washing the car. Note that the Meguiar’s Xpress Spray Wax should be used only after the car has been dried, not when the car is still wet, for better results.

Used on my Tesla Model Y. Good result. Enough ceramic for 2 coats. The pre-treatment though we have just enough. To help spred the ceramic with second quote I sprayed very little distilled water. They should give more micro-fiber and I recommend to wash the microfiber first. By the way after the washing the car, if you do not have a clay to remove last contaminant you can at least use distiled water that you let it damp to suck any materials for few minutes before wiping with very clean microfiber. For Model Y do not forget to do the black plastic trim around wheels as they suck the dirst easily by nature, putting ceramic make them a lot more dirt repellent.

Fairly easy to apply but not enough descriptive instruction for a novice. Ie. You don’t have a clue whether you’ve wiped everything off. Car was smother after cut and polish. Things went a little downhill when washed off with rubbing alcohol. An ok finish but no super slippery gleam like you tube.
