These are same quality as original, if your hardware is rusted and about to break, For a few $ you can have these on and have another 27 years of service on your vehicles.

Perfect for the drums on my 70 F100’s 9 inch rear. Super happy to get new self adjusters in this kit, especially given that the self adjusters, ordered separately, would have been as expensive as this entire kit.
I noticed some bad reviews from those with 1997 F150’s, and here’s why: Ford produced TWO different F150’s for the 97 model year. One looks just like the 96 and older trucks (the 9th generation, dubbed “old body style”, or OBS), and the other looks just like the 98 and newer trucks (10th generation). Both are 1997 (they are NOT 1997 and 1997 1/2) as they were both produced at the same time. This kit WILL fit the 1997 OBS trucks, which are more square looking, but not the newer, more rounded looking 1997 trucks.
If you have the more rounded looking truck, search for 1998 instead of 1997 to make sure you get the right parts. If you have an OBS, double check your parts by seeing if they fit 1996. If you aren’t sure which you have, Google F150 generations and see which your truck looks like. Hope this helps someone.

This kit as I recall covers every single peice of what’s under each hub and in my opinion should be replaced completely every 30 or so years and if you own more than one F Series truck a bag of these should always be in your shop or junk drawer . Priced very fair and shipping was a successful event .

It was a very good idea to order this kit as there was no way possible to re-use the old brake hardware on my van. The kit was complete and covered both rear drum brakes. I did buy an additional 2 inexpensive tools from a local parts store to aid in this job and I’m glad I did.

Everything fit great. The only reason I deducted a star was because the retention pin spring did not have the locking head connected to it. Because of this I chose to reuse that spring from the existing hardware for ease of installation.
I cannot recommend a drum break tool kit enough for this job. It cut my time by half or more amd made a drum break job as quick and painless as possible.
Overall this was a great set of springs and I’m glad I got it even though my old ones were reusable just for the added piece of mind.
