I had an older rear wiper blade that was showing some streaking. This repair tool was substantially less than a new rear wiper blade, one that doesn’t get used very often anyway.
The actual tool has a pocket that holds the blade inside the carrier. One is supposed to use one slot first and then the second slot. I never did find any numbers or markings to indicate which was which. I took a cell phone shot of the instructions to see if I could determine which one to use, and I went ahead from there.
I wiped the blade with the sponge. Expect it to pick up dirt. Next, I installed the tool and pulled it in the direction as indicated. This is actually hard to find on the tool itself. It actually cut off a small section of blade very well until the end, and there is just isn’t supported well enough to force the end piece through well. I used the second slot, and it cuts a smaller piece off. That did not help the end that wasn’t getting cut evenly.
Regardless, I tried my clean, cut, clean, cut wiper blade, and it didn’t produce any better performance than my old blade. The blade also fell out of the center section of the tool.
