I ordered this blower motor resistor for my 2018 Ram 1500 Tradesman, with a 3.6L V6 flex fuel engine. The AC blower has been acting strange, and in my previous vehicles that usually indicated the blower motor resistor going out. According to the listing this one should fit, and even Amazon Garage confirmed it would fit my vehicle.
However, when I went to install it I discovered that my RAM does not have a separate blower motor resistor, and it’s either built-in into the motor, or into some other aspect of the electronics, even though it does not have an automatic temperature control.
So because I cannot use the product, I’m posting pictures of it, and a blank spot I found in my HVAC ducting where it would go if my truck took one. I gave it four stars just because it seems like it’s a well made product, and has a low asking price of only around $23, but again, it does not fit into my particular 2018 Ram 1500. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I ordered this but then discovered my Ram had the resistor built into the blower motor. So I started researching more and I learned that there could actually be trouble with a fuse on the fuse box under hood. The style of small fuses they use only have a connector on one side of the stud. By removing that style fuse and putting in a slightly longer fuse that gripped both sides of the terminal my blower motor came back to life. I will probably have to return this item but I was impressed with how quick it arrived so if it would have been right and what I needed. I could’ve fixed my truck quickly.
