    This battery disconnect was exactly as advertised for the most part. I actually wish it came assembled. It was packaged with two zip lock bags and a small box for the main switch. I wish it was easier to put together. Time will tell if the design of this will actually hold up with thousands of miles on a car. However, you could use this for a solar setup with a 12v car battery or on a golf-cart or something too. I feel like the packaging could have been better done. It’s a little bigger and bulkier than I thought it would be. Make sure you measure the area you can install this thing. Overall, it was as advertised though.

    I have an auto I don’t drive a lot, it can sit for months on end without being started. Because of some of the systems on it, it drains the battery. I was looking for a solution to prevent that in the future and I found this item. It looks exactly like the pictures, super easy to install, and very easy to operate. It comes with everything you need and is a simple on and off switch. As long as you have room around your battery, this thing will work perfectly for you. Again, it took less than five minutes to install and it works fantastic.

    This item was high quality. I was having battery drain on my boat and every time I went out I was having to jump start it. After installing this battery disconnect, I no longer have the issue. It was easy to install and it’s sturdy. Highly recommend.

    I’m using this switch as a master disconnect in a DIY solar power bank. It’s well made of sturdy plastic with large lugs for the wires. The knob turns smoothly and clicks into position. I cut a round hole for the knob and mounted it from the inside of the box in order to keep a low profile on the outside. It is working great so far.

    Only item in box was the switch body. Missing screws, tools, terminal post and terminal clamp. Big fail.

    2 days later – Received a replacement shipment which finally had all the missing parts. As a previous reviewer has stated, their are no instructions, but any DIYer should be able to assemble it. One interesting feature is that all four sides of the switch box have removeable cutouts, in my case it worked out best to install the brackets through two adjacent sides as opposed to how they are depicted in the product picture. You do need additional wrenches to complete assembly as the provided allen wrench and stamped wrench are only for installing the switch box cover on the bottom. The hardware for the terminal clamp and post includes lock washers so you probably don’t need to use thread lock compound, but I did anyway just to be sure.

    Materials and action are good. Integrating this into a small 12V PV solar setup, and appreciate the versatility in connection options. Meets my needs very well!

    Missing the post, clamp, fasteners and tools made it useless for my purpose to service disconnect a battery that is seasonal.
    The unit I received seemed nice and would work okay for connecting inline cables and lugs like you would use on a boat but it definitely wasn’t sealed, it didn’t even have bolts to hold the back on.
    It could be made to work but I’ll look elsewhere.

    This is an excellent battery switch unless you turn it too far. So long as you keep the rotor between the on and off positions, this works great. But it you accidentally turn it further, the switch will lock into a position it is impossible to move it from. I did that accidentally, and had to take the whole thing apart to fix it. I took off one star for bad design.

    The good news is that this battery switch only adds 0.0083 ohms as measured on my 6.5 digit sigilent multimeter using a four wire technique. That is low enough so that the battery can start a car without trouble, provided the battery is in good shape.

    This switch provides enough options to fit most any car, even with the tight spaces now typical of modern cars.
