Fixed the problem with the battery current sensor, it is somewhat of a pain to replace this but necessary. No more dash lights or radio cut out or any of the crazy electrical problems associated with the Chevy captiva. Sad the GM won’t fix this problem which is rampant. It’s one fix away from being a good vehicle.

I was having problems with my ac making all sorts of sounds and my vehicle from time to time was shorting out, resulting in a dead battery. Both of these problems are now gone.

I will call would just shut off randomly shut off. But would restart with no problem. But sometimes it will lose all electrical power and would not start back up until we hooked up battery booster. If check engine light come on the code was for ECM (computer). THIS WAS NOT EASY TO INSTALL and did not come with instructions. Had to remove front motor support to get to ground wire attached to motor. This harness is an updated version of the OE harness.The additional wire that’s beside the starter wire goes to the alternator. (Figured that out).We detached the original alternator wire,taped it up and put zip ties around the tape and attached wire from new harness.
