Good: Easy install, great fit, pre lubed at ends. Low price.

Read several reviews and about 75% of them were positive, so decided to buy a pair for my wife’s 2004 Ford Focus wagon. The rear liftgate was getting a tad heavier and unpredictable to lift and stay open. Mrs. is small, so I felt this was also a safety issue that would only get worse over time. By comparison to the OEM Ford struts, the clip springs holding the struts onto the ball joint are softer, so the replacement strut could be pressed onto the pivot-stud by hand. As the motion of the strut is up-down, rather than side to side, I don’t see this as an issue. Only required a 1/4″ to 3/16″ flat-blade screwdriver to pry the spring clip, plus a rag, some grease and something to prop up the lift gate. I’d recommend looking at a few YouTube videos as a primer. Overall installation time was about 15 minutes. Quick, easy, affordable repair job with these replacement struts.

From my initial search of the tailgate lift supports to installing them the process was seamless. They are great quality and the installation was a breeze. To top it all off I didn’t have any negative counterperson telling me it would be a difficult part to find because the vehicle is so old. “Money well spent”

These struts were the perfect replacement on a 2007 Mazda 6 wagon. They seem just as good as OEM, at a much better price.
Peter J. Varley –
Appeared identical to the old struts on my 2002 Ford Focus wagon which also may have been replacements for those that came with the car. Easily installed with just a small screwdriver – and a stepladder to hold the tailgate all the way up.

Seems to have fixed the problem, quick and easy to install.
