Wrong pump for my truck can’t really comment

On 2007 F150 Screw Cab you need to drop the tank (not hard but not fun). Disconnecting lines not hard but in tight spots. Install fairly straight forward (blow off dust/rocks from top of tank, clean area, etc. KEY POINT IF BUYING CHEAP ITEMS AND NOTING YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Test the ohms when moving the float from bottom (empty) to top (full). If not 190 ish to 10 or 15, return it. I skipped this step (some errors you only make once). On reinstall and lifting the tank to make last few connections noticed that the one vent tube (from tank fill) connecting to one connector on the new fuel pump assembly did not fit. Old connector on pump was 9 mm wide the new was 7.33 so snap on tube would not stay. Went to auto store and purchased $12 in parts to rig the vent tube together. Finished install and started truck (it worked). Tank read 1/4, where it had randomly been before. Went to gas station to fill up. Restarted truck, tank read E, even below E. Turn truck off gauge goes up to E (yes, up to E). After a host of wire test, gauge sweeps, etc… the new pump assembly came with bad sending unit. Went to Ford (where I should have started) to purchase OEM pump. Install still not fun but all works after. I wasted more time than the cheaper part was worth.

Super cheap product compared to what you would get in a mechanic workshop

The high pressure gas line inlet on fuel pump does not fit original line on truck’s gas tank. Have not been able to find replacement high pressure line for gas tank. Bad design
