    Highlights:
    – 36” from hole to hole per my measurements
    – Name brand lugs from TE Connectivity
    – Lugs are sized for 5/16 (8mm) bolts
    – Heat shrink is adhesive lined to keep corrosion away from the crimp connection.
    – Wire is US made! And marked with safety approvals

This cable is very well made. I was surprised to see that the wire itself is made in the USA. That is rare these days. The wire is printed with the cable manufacturer’s name and model (Cobra Wire and Cable X-Flex), along with safety approval.

The lugs used are name brand from TE Connectivity. They measured 1.75mm thick, and the lug hole is correct for a 5/16” or M8 bolt. The overall cable length I measured at 36” from center of hole to center of hole.

Cutting back the heatshrink, I saw that it was adhesive lined. This will protect the crimp area from corrosive liquids and fumes. The lug itself appears to be hammer crimped. The connection is very solid, but I would have liked to have seen a better crimping method. Looking at the gap, I could see that the strands of wire are tin plated, as they should be for marine use. I did not see any nicked or cut strands.

Overall, this is a high quality cable. The ‘Made in USA’ wire and TE Connectivity lugs proves it.

I needed a ground cable to hook up a fuse block I added to my boat, and this fit the bill perfectly. Not much to say about battery cables, but the quality seems just fine. The lugs are heavy duty and are heat shrunken to the cable. This was exactly what I was looking for.

Appears to be a functional wire. I will be installing it on my upcoming boat build this winter. Claims to be made in the USA which was a selling point for me.

This 6 gauge battery cable is made in the USA from Cobra Wire & Cable X-FLEX® copper cable with PVC insulation. The cable is very flexible.

The tinned terminals have a closed end. I compared them to some premium 6 AWG, 5/16 Selterm terminals I had handy. These terminals were the same thickness.

The terminals are attached firmly on the cables. I was unable to get them to move at all.

Lastly, adhesive lined heat shrink tubing was used.

    These are good battery cables!

Well terminated, the crimps are firm and well sealed. Impressively flexible.

Measured a 0.016v drop with a 12A load with this 3′ cable which is better per foot than the supposed 6 gauge wire this replaced.

The 5/16 lugs nicely fit 8mm terminals.

    Overall, recommended.

Cables are being used for a high wattage 12v audio application. Their flexibility makes them easy to utilize in tight spaces. The thick insulation makes the cables safe against chaffing. The cables more than capable of handling the 1000w required of them in my application. Would definitely consider again for new sound systems.

This battery cables (one) seems very high quality, it has hex-crimped 5/16” terminal lugs (closed at the terminal end) with heavy heat-shrink tubing on both ends. The cable is very flexible, indicating good quality stranded copper wire inside. Measuring the resistance with a DVOM shows 0.0 Ohms (only reads to one decimal point).

I am unsure whether the cable is only crimped to the lugs, or if it is also soldered (preferred) as the on-line advertisement doesn’t say and you can’t see without cutting off the heat-shrink. Hopefully it is crimped and soldered.

I am so happy with this cabling. This is my first time using marine grade and I am never going back. This cabling is the best I have had and I’ve ordered more for my solar build.
