This carburetor is a perfect match or better than that found on the Briggs & Stratton 18 hp Intek engine. It was easy to install with wrench and socket tools. Took only 15 minutes total time to remove old carburetor and install this new model. No adjustments required. This was to replace the old Nikki carburetor on a 14 year old Craftsmen L2000 riding lawn mower. The solenoid on the old carburetor failed and flooded the crankcase and cylinder with fuel, even after it stated and ran. The engine fired up and ran after being installed with one 15 second amount of time cranking the engine. Engine now runs like new with no hesitation and full power capability. Note: I used the replacement spark plug that came with this kit. It is identical to the recommended one called out in owners manual (Champion RC12YC). Also had to perform a new oil/filter change prior to installing the new carburetor due to the fuel mixed into crankcase from the old carburetor failure after 14 years.

I’ve rebuilt and installed several carburetors for riding mowers. OEM is by far and away the best option. But sometimes rebuilding and/or finding original equipment isn’t an option (especially in CA). I’ve tried many after market carbs and have had horrible luck. Tried this brand for the first time and after a minute of sputtering, it runs like brand new. Parts are interchangeable with the OEM Nikki carb. This is the first and only aftermarket carb that I would recommend.
I installed the original fuel shut off solenoid on this carb, because the connector would stay in due to the original plastic part being slightly broken.

Plug and Play a little and I mean little adjustment. Nothing wrong with these carburetor’s cheaper then rebuilding. Would buy again.

Just installed today and so far it does not leak gas, the needle valve seats properly, and jetted perfect for a Briggs and Stratton I/C 18.5hp. No surging, not popping or running rich, choke circuit performs like factory and even a very low idle is extremely stable. Just a heads-up: this is a knock-off of the NIKKI type, not the RUIXING version. In my opinion the RUIXING version is an EPA-compliant version probably implemented in the middle of the date code run. RUIXING parts are more difficult to get probably because they were discontinued shortly after the EPA implementation for this model. NIKKI parts are cheaper as well. All thumbs up so far.

Fits my 2003 Craftsman LT1000 but the governor doesn’t seem to do anything? Or doesn’t do much. And there’s no way to lock the governor. All that said, my mower is running again although it shuts off if I move the throttle away from the middle position.

These carburetors are junk once it gets warm the inner seal above the float expands and then the carburetor gets too much gas so it back fires which is not good

I paid about 17 bucks for this new carburetor as my original carburetor on my approximately 20 year old Craftsman 18 hp LT1000 finally crapped out likely due to old age.
This new carburetor installed well, started right up and my riding mower is running great with no adjustments needed at all on the new carburetor. I couldn’t be happier and I would strongly endorse this replacement carburetor!
