FITMENT– Fit for Cummins ISX, Signature Engine. Replace Cummins tool number 3164001.
FUNCTION– Use this tool kit to check if the combustion gas leaks back through the injector rail check valve or other conditions that will allow gas leakage through the injector into the fuel rail.
HIGH QUALITY– High quality materials used to provide a much longer service life. Includes advanced hard anodized aluminum alloy adapter plate, durability, good rigidity and rustproof, and premium grade PVC flexible tube, anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion.
HOW IT WORKS– Plug in the tube to fitting, then install the injector leak test kit in place of the rear fuel-metering actuator. Connect to the manometer or insert the tube into a container with water, observe if the manometer pressure changes or bubbles coming out the water, the injector leaks when it does change or have bubbles.
WHEN TO CHECK– A leaking fuel injector or injectors are normally the cause for difficult or hard to start engines especially when they are warm, or the engine is exhibit slow shutdown or excessive run-on after a key-off condition. Also, leaking fuel injectors can cause oil thinning. So if you are facing these situations, please check the fuel injectors.
