This is a basic applicator using low density foam. For smooth surfaces it evenly will spread out product, however for rough surface (like tires) it struggles. The foam is just too weak. You have to press hard to get every nook and cranny but then the foam collapses and rolls on itself. Not sure how long the foam will last trying this. I tried it will Armorall and it was a fail. I find the tire applicators that consist of very fine thin hairs works best for tires. I then used the other one with a product meant to return black trim pieces to their darker original color and it work great. My truck bumper has a smooth black trim piece that wraps the chrome and I was able to apply it evenly. I still had to go back with a rag in order to get to crevices that this is too big for, but it was nice to get the majority of it with this applicator. One good thing is that they are cheap enough to use for whatever product/application you need and not worry about cost. Being able to enclose the foam in a plastic cap is a bonus.

This is excellent for applying tire shine evenly and in an indoor environment! It’s a simple foam some, but it does a great job, has an ergonomic handle, and a nice storage cover. Excellent product at this price point, and feels decent quality. Game changer for detailing your car!
