Its on and off switch capability makes using anything plugged into it more sufficiently convenient. Because instead of turning off the unit that’s plugged into the cord, all you have to do is hit the switch on the cord to turn it off!

I used this in my SUV cargo area. I wanted the 12v outlet on the other side so used this extension. I like the power button. I wish the plug was a little more secure in the outlet as it can get knocked loose if not careful. The wire is heavy gauge.
