I wanted a filter a bit longer than stock and this fits the bill. I didn’t want to leave the brand or their XP line and this is the largest filter you can get onto the car while also maintaining specifications that Toyota mandates for the vehicle. 👍

I’ve used wix filters for years on my tractors and tractor trailer so when I found this one for my generator I had to get it. The Generac 22kw uses 5w-30 full synthetic oil and this filter is specifically made for synthetic oil. I’ve never had a problem with any Wix filter and I expect this one to be the same high quality.

IF your oil filter is vertically mounted upside down you do NOT need an anti-drain back valve. Although I have read test results the give the Wix filters a 21 micron filtration rating I had a problem with the anti-drain back valve being stuck closed. I always fill my filters with new oil pouring oil in the center and then on the outside of the filtration media by depressing the silicone ADB valve with an Allen key and pouring oil into that side. But this filter was very hard to do. I finally used force to make the valve depress but it wouldn’t all the way around the circle. I ordered an OEM filter to replace it.

I am on my 2nd purchase now. I have to say, WIX is a very good oil filter. I’ve noticed that the oil is very clean when it is time for an oil change. Very easy to install, but a little snug for removal. I have to use a towel inside the flute to get the filter to turn loose. Overall, great quality and great value.

Bought 5 of these at a great sale price thru Amazon, were comparable in price at the time to cheaper made standard filters from the local W****** store.
Wix has a great reputation as a filter maker and use quality materials.
Was doing the initial oil change at a little over 1000 miles, as we typically keep our vehicles for 10 plus years and early and regular oil changes have likely been a factor in vehicle longevity/reliability. Will continue to change oil/filter at every 5k miles/6 months intervals, a number of Toyota trained professionals agree with schedule.
Even though the Amazon application listing said they would not fit the new generation Sequoia(and likely Tundra that both have the iForce Max engine) they are listed as the correct fitment on Wix website.
Comparing them with the OE Toyota shows that they are identical, no difficulty with installation and it is functioning well.
