Great car charger. I’ve used for almost 2 months and it is still going strong. I have no complaints about how it works. Every port did well. Charging speed on multiple devices at the same time was awesome. The retractable cord is nice. Where it plugs in makes a huge difference in how well the retractable cord functions for the driver, so take that and the 2.5 ft cord length into consideration. In my case as the driver it is too short for optimal use. I keep 6.7 ft charge cables in the glove box making it possible for backseat drivers…ummm, I mean passengers to be able to charge comfortably. I absolutely loved having this on a recent family road trip.

The last car charger I got gave out on me so I found this replacement. I like it gives you the option to plug in a regular USB or the the USB C which will come in handy if I have a guest in my car. It’s just me so I only need the one retractable cord.

This Linkwow car charger is so desirable, it was stolen right out of my car! Nevertheless, I was able to test it before that happened, and am able to solidly recommend it. There is actually another version of this listed on Amazon, but I recommend this one over the other as the retractable USB-C cord on this one is about an inch and a half longer, stretching to about 32 inches. I believe the other model might be newer, perhaps they found some issue retracting that extra bit of length, but I did not have any such problem.
The most important consideration for me here was the 84 Watts of total power, delivering 33 watts to each USB-C port/cord. With my previous charger, the single USB port would keep an iPad charged but not increase the charge (in other words, kept it from losing charge). This one can charge up two iPads, and even should charge a laptop. Plus, there’s an old-school USB-A port as well.
I highly recommend this charger, just be sure to keep your car locked!

It includes a retractable USB-C cable with a 70cm (27.5-inch) reach that locks into place when slightly retracted. There is also a USB-C port, and both the retractable cable and the port successfully fast-charged my Android phone.
I was able to fast charge my Android phone and charge my 13-inch MacBook Pro. While I didn’t test exact speeds, charging performance will depend on power distribution. Most Android phones draw between 18W and 45W, leaving sufficient power for a 13-inch or 14-inch MacBook Pro, which typically requires 60W to 67W. A 16-inch MacBook Pro, which prefers 96W to 140W, will charge more slowly, especially under load. Since the charger splits power, it’s a good idea to check distribution after setup to ensure efficient charging, which I believe was happening in my testing.
One notable feature is the retractable cable. While similar to others I own, it has a unique distinction—the USB-C connector is larger and elongated, making it easier to grasp, especially for those with long fingernails or a light grip. My wife dislikes most retractable cables for this reason, but she found this one more user-friendly. It could be improved with knurling for extra grip, which might be a good suggestion for the manufacturer.
Here are some useful measurements for those considering fitment. The adapter protrudes 65mm (2.56 inches) from the cigarette lighter socket. The retractable cable extends an additional 33mm (1.3 inches) when retracted. The square body measures 52mm × 52mm × 27mm (2.05 × 2.05 × 1.06 inches). The entire adapter weighs 70g (2.47 ounces). I searched for a built-in fuse but did not find one. To prevent frequent fuse burnouts, ensure your car’s cigarette lighter fuse is properly sized. Most automobile cigarette lighter circuits use a 10A to 30A fuse. Since this charger operates at 85W on a 12V system, it can draw up to 7.08*. A 10A fuse provides more protection, while a 15A fuse is less likely to burn out but offers lower protection.

This has got to be one of my best purchases, it’s so compact with the retractable charger and best of all it’s actually super fast charging. I always struggle with low battery on my phone but even in a 10 minute drive my phone percentage goes up so fast. I 100 percent recommend. On top of it you have two other outlets on the charger so in total it’s 3!

For some, this may be a great product, but for me it fell short (literally and figuratively).
First, the item is long/bulky — which is to be expected I guess because of the retractable charging cord. I drive a 2013 Ford Edge, and I have a cigarette lighter inside my console and also underneath and to the left of the glove compartment. When I plugged this charger inside the console, I found that it stuck out too far and kept me from storing other items that I need to access from there. Then I tried the lighter under the glove compartment. That worked okay, except…
Second, the retractable cord is only about 2.5 ft long. It sounds long enough, but when I pulled the cord out to reach my phone on its magnetic holder on my dash, the cord was too short and I ended up pulling the adapter out of the socket. If you keep your phone somewhere other than on your dashboard, maybe it would work better.
I think the design idea is good, but for my purposes, it just wasn’t functional.
