This feels very secure. I attached this to the base of the rear view mirror of a 2014 Kia Soul (I know my car is lame shut up) for a Z-edge dash camera. I appreciate that this kit included a TON of extra parts to accommodate many types of cameras and mounts.
For the Z-edge dash cam model I use, this kit replaces the small square tab that slides into the top of the camera (picture of Z-edge female connection point attached, big thanks to the original poster of this photo).
The male connection piece I chose from this kit is not an ideal fit because it doesn’t fully slide and lock into place. But I was able to gently force the male component into the Z-edge and slide/lock into place about 50% of the way without cracking or bending the plastic parts. I tested the strength of the fit before installing in my car to avoid the annoying shock of a droopy, jumpy dashcam.
I’d prefer a more secure, 100% fit with the male replacement piece but for now I am happy with this solution. I installed onto the base of the rear view mirror, reconnected the 2 power cables, and adjusted the angles in under 10 minutes so not something you can do at a red light or sitting in nightmare i195 rush hour traffic.
My only concern is that the ill-fitting male plastic piece will become stressed and break due to extreme New England cold/heat. I will update this review if anything fails.

Worked on the dash cam I had. I was looking for a replacement for the suction cup and came across this. I was tired of the suction cups always not suctioning to the windshield so I wanted something permanent. Saw this product and decided to give a try and so far it’s been working. Comes with many attachments for any camera. Easy to install.

This was a quick and easy installation and works great. At first, the camera seemed to rotate pretty easily, but when I was working on some repositioning, I realized that was my fault for not screwing the adapter to the camera tightly. It’s solid now. The clamp on the rearview mirror stem is firmly planted, as well. Absolutely worth it for me!

I hate this thing with every fibre of my being. It gets one-star because it does record, but beyond that, I couldn’t tell you what it does. The directions were written by a toddler with English as a second language. I go online to try to figure out this works, and all I get are videos with fingers flying across the the cameras screen WITH NO DIRECTIONS. There’s some kind of a warning sound that engages at nighttime having something to do with the light changing? I could understand if it went off if headlights were approaching, but no. It serves no purpose whatsoever, and trying to figure out how to disengage this feature is next to impossible. DO NOT BUY THIS. If you feel the need to waste money, flush it down the toilet. I do not understand why companies no longer provide paper instructions THAT MAKE SENSE. Case in point: We just purchased a new GPS. It didn’t come with any instructions. You have to go online. The one that just died came with a little booklet that was written by an adult who’s first language was English. I’m old, pissed, and tired of this nonsense.

Came with many options to fix, however could not find a clip that would attach to my MI Dashcam. I had to do some DIY filing and sanding on closest matching clip, to slide it into the slot provided on the camera. Keeps on popping out every now and then. Not helpful when it happens while you are driving.

I’ve had a cheap China-made dash cam forever. Not the greatest quality, but it does what it’s supposed to. For a better part of a decade, the dash cam suction window mount would fall off the window while driving, especially in the summer heat. It was a pain to have to remount and make sure the dash cam is pointed in the right direction.
Had enough of that. I purchased this item hoping there would be an attachment that would work with my dash cam. There was. And from what I can tell, they’ve pretty much included attachments for any and all dash cam mounts you can think of.
I’ve secured it to the rear view mirror mount. Without having to rely on suction for hold, it’s staying in place. I’ve never had to readjust it due to a rough ride or anything like that. And since it’s not a suction mount, no need to worry about excessive heat to make the mount fall off.

Excellent. It had several adapters for different devices even for my cheap no-name one. I got to take it off the windshield mount and hang it from my mirror. During the summer the windshield mount would fall every couple of weeks. I was looking to buy a new dashcam with a mirror mount but found this. It was worth it!!
