These are very handy when used correctly. I am using it on a classic car that doesn’t get driven often and it helps prevent dead batteries from sitting for extended periods and adds a small bit of security, all without having to open the hood.
The biggest limitation and one that you need to pay attention to is that it is only rated for 240 amps so if you are running winches, or other high current electronics, you will need to wire them so that they do not run through this switch, which kind of defeats the purpose of a battery kill switch.
For most most applications these are great. Hopefully it lasts.

Had a vehicle stolen recently so wanted to take measures to prevent a further incident with my other vehicle. Bought a GPS tracker that works very good. Added this kill switch to render the vehicle inoperable if desired with the push of a button on the included remote. Easily installed and works as advertised. Time will tell if it is reliable in the long term but so far so good.
Only need to add an audible alarm system…..I’m sure there are comprehensive anti-theft systems out there that ‘do it all’s but am content with my current piecemeal approach to try out various products in including a kill switch system that can be remotely activated . from anywhere via a phone app…
Only downside is that a thief, if they get inside the vehicle, can flip the hood switch and override all this exposed stuff.

Very easy install works as described in the description, if you want a quick and easy fix to save in your battery especially because the installation by this kit because the tools are included.
Very convenient remote access and does as described as a great alternative instead of always having to pop your hood to manually disconnect the battery by turning a knob.

Installed on old plow truck that sits a lot and battery would drain down to the poor wiring job done on it many moons ago. This installed in no time and nice having the remove with the keys to the truck and a push of the button I have power now were as before it would be dead and have to get the jump pack out every time. Cool device and must have for anyone that has a vehicle that sits around alot and not driven much. Feels well built and have not had any issues every time i have went to use it.

I have vehicles that I store in the winter and don’t drive. I can pull the battery or disconnect a lead but thats a pain if we get a nice day and want to go for a drive. So I thought I’d try this.
This installs between the negative terminal on the battery and your negative battery cable. The attachments allow for various placements, and comes with extra terminal pieces in case you have to get real creative. It comes with tools but they are pretty flimsy. They’ll work but you might want to have real tools on hand.
I put it on a vehicle where the battery was sitting at 12.43 volts and the LED indicated “medium” which I would agree with. I’m charging the battery to see if this goes to “high” when charged. (It should be noted that while the status LEDs are fine they do not match some of the pictures in the listing as of this writing.)
Both the remotes and the button on the unit function to turn the power off and on. The relay inside gives a pretty good “chunk” when it actuates. The manual says the unit will cut power at around 11.8 volts which I Iove. All vehicles have parasitic draw and this will save your battery and probably your day.
It says it is rated for 250 amps draw (starting) and something like a 500 amp surge. I would have to question this. They give a quideline of a 3 liter engine max but that’s kind of vague. Best to know how much current your car draws when cranking.
I’m really hopeful this holds up. I love the function and if it holds up I’ll be buying more.
