Cables all over the car are not just a pain, they can be a hazard. Expension adaptors allowing for two cables are a great idea as well. But with a self-standing GPS and two font seats maybe needing to charge phones, that adds to 3 connections…a number lesser served.
This charger is great in concept: built-in retractable cables and slots for the cables of my choice. But a couple of things impede it being perfect.
1) The retractable cables are short – about two feet in length. Used in my center console, it doesn;t allow for a passenger to use the device while plugged in nor for a phone to act as a GPS mounted to the dash
2) Hard to grip cables ends. Especially down in the console storage space, it’s almost impossible to easily find and grab the tint cable head.
Not terrible but the short cables limit its usability. Great for just charging, not so good if you want to use the device at the same time (which is a reasonable expectation).

This was a game-changer for me and my traveling for work. I drive a lot of car rentals, and every time I get in the car, I have to figure out how to connect my phone to the car system. If cordless doesn’t work, I start digging in my purse for cords…Some cars only have USB- and some shockingly only have Type C ports.
When I saw this, I knew I needed it. It’s been a big help because I can bring this with me, plug it in, and have whatever I need for my phone by simply plugging into the “cigarette lighter” port.
This would also make a great gift because everyone has a phone and we’ve all been in situations where we can’t find a charger or the type we need.

Everybody needs a charger in the car, for trips if nothing else. I’ve gone through a bunch, and one problem is that I never have the right cables available. This is getting better now that everything is moving to USB C for charging, and this charger is a really well suited to the USB C world.
It’s not beautiful–this is something that will sit in my center console most of the time and come out when I have guests or I’m going on a trip. Functionality wins over looks in this situation.
The headline feature of this charger is the retractable cables. This means you always have 2 USB C charging cables available that don’t get lost and don’t get tangled up. This makes the bulky size of this charger worth it.
Just a warning: the retractable cables are very thin and not all that long. This is a necessary tradeoff to keep the size under control but it means you need to be a little careful with the cords. On the other hand, they only need to be rolled out when in use, so they take less abuse than many cables.
The charger also has a USB A port and a USB C port, which are lower power than the built-in cables, but this gives room for you to bring your own cable for those few pesky devices that still need a custom cable, or you can have a longer cable to reach passengers in the back seat, etc. It’s pretty versatile, and means you don’t need to keep extra chargers “just in case”.
The other feature that has been surprisingly useful is the battery voltage display. I suspected my battery was running low, and this lets me track it really easily. It also displays continuously, so I can see the voltage change when the car is in accessory mode, when the engine is running, etc. It’s interesting to see the voltage change when I turn my car off–it drops immediately since there is no more power coming from the hybrid battery, but then it slowly drops a few more points over the next couple minutes.
The battery meter convinced me that I need a new battery and so I took the car in and had that confirmed by a pro. Much better to get a replacement now when it is convenient and not get stuck somewhere and turn it into an emergency. I highly recommend this device for that feature alone.

I loved this car charger, because of the built-in retractable charging cable. No need to carry extra cable. This product is a very heavy-duty fast charger. I love it and highly recommend it.

I really wanted to like this but even though it works, it’s just awkward. The wire retraction is smooth and works ok. It is able to super-fast charge my Samsung s24 ultra. With the USB A port, it does regular charging. The usb-c port had trouble charging my phone. It seems to be fine for charging flashlights or small accessories. Instead of the last usb port, I wish it had options to flip the voltage display upside down and also to just turn off that display. It is designed to be inserted vertically down into a plug on the console I guess. But a lot of cars have the accessory plug on a vertical position so plugging this charger in causes the dispaly either to be very hard to see (pointing down and away from the driver), or have numbers upside down. The other problem I had is the shiny plastic around the ports immediately got scratched. It could have used some rubber protectors or something more resilient to regular use. I am still giving it 4 stars because it does work and it’s nice to have the retractable cables. But I think I might disassemble it and install it differently without using the aux port plug. I am hoping I can reorient the voltmeter display as well but I haven’t taken it apart yet.
