Merino wool mitts are the best manual wash mitt for cars in my opinion. My first mitt was still on the hide of the animal (lined with leather) and it was a nightmare. One would think it’s higher quality but the fact is you had to flip it inside out to dry the leather every time or it would rot, and it was not an easy process. It smelled bad and all in all just wasn’t nearly as convenient as this mitt by CarPro.
Same excellent soft wool, none of the hassle.
It DOES matt up over time like any other wool mitt, and eventually, you will need to replace it even with excellent care. My last one lasted me about a year (over, but rounds down to a year) before I wanted a new one. I am also very picky about what touches my paint. I personally feel it is an excellent value for the money.
It buried contaminants deep within its wool, which is great for not dragging them on your paint but a little annoying when it comes to rinsing them out to keep the mitt clean. This is not a problem with the carpro mitt, just the material in general. The carpro mitt having a mesh back actually makes cleaning the mitt much easier.
All in all, of all the washmitts I have ever used this is my favorite. Never stop making it!

Pricey but with it, great to wash anything with but especially cars with soft paint. Very fluffy and soft to use. Recommend if you need it.

I use this mitt exclusively on a car that has been coated using CarPro CQuartz Professional. I use CarPro Reset as my primary shampoo – with the occasional use of Descale. The slickness during the wash process is crazy – the mitt literally glides across the surface. It holds a ton of sudds and the I find the size is a perfect fit for my hand allowing me to get into tight crevices around the mirrors, etc.
The downsides are the occasional “hair” that gets caught in a side emblem but it is easily minimized by paying close attention while washing those areas.
Caring for the mitt requires a good rinse, shaking the water out and the quick comb thru. This was the main worry I had going in before purchasing the mitt. But, it’s is super simple to do and actually keeps the mitt renewed.

Wish the mitt was a little cheaper, but when used properly in a two-bucket wash method, this mitt will clean your car without leaving scratches. Just use clean water, a good quality ph-balanced wash soap (like Adams or Surf City Garage Professional), and two buckets with grit guards. Never re-soak the mitt into the wash bucket without first cleaning thoroughly in the rinse bucket. I use two of these bad boys per wash: one for the top half of the car, and one for the bottom half since that half is usually much dirtier. Rinse clean and air dry. I’ve been using mine for 6 months and it still looks new.

Item arrived open, but OK, willing to overlook that because it doesn’t appear that it was used.
With this wash mitt, it’s about trade offs. It’s soft, very soft, and doesn’t appear to leave any scratches which I can’t say about other CarPro wash mitts. However, as a result, there’s not much scrubbing power to it.
Ideal for a very dusty vehicle that doesn’t have grime.
Still, I was looking for something that doesn’t leave any swirl marks and this product appears to deliver on that front.
Not sure how long it lasts.
